Youth Drug Awareness Workshop at the United Methodist Conference Centre

On 21 March 2026, the Waneni PCCS team attended a Youth Drug Awareness Workshop at the United Methodist Conference Centre in
Harare, with about 40 youths and pastors from different provinces. The workshop addressed the causes, effects, and prevention
of drug abuse, while participants shared challenges affecting youth in their branches.

A key outcome was the adoption of branch-based youth projects and mentorship initiatives as prevention strategies. The perfume-making training session stood out as a practical empowerment activity designed to keep young people productive and reduce
vulnerability to substance abuse. Overall, the event was successful in promoting awareness, collaboration, and sustainable
youth empowerment strategies.
