Mental health and substance abuse at Seventh Adventist Church

PCCS recently facilitated an impactful presentation on mental health and substance abuse at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Dangamvura, creating a platform for open dialogue and awareness within the congregation. The session helped congregants gain a deeper understanding of mental health challenges, particularly how substance abuse can affect behavior and emotional wellbeing. Many participants shared that they now better recognize signs such as loss of interest in activities that once brought joy, allowing them to empathize more with relatives and friends who may be struggling. This engagement marked an important step toward reducing stigma and encouraging supportive, informed communities.
